This year, Huge Robertson, Minister of Olympic Games in UK, had confirmed the set up of one special unit to check on illegal betting organization from targeting Olympic Games of London. Robertson stated that the special unit will comprise of Gambling Commission of UK, IOC (International Olympic Committee) and police to control over all suspicious patterns of betting during Olympic Games.

In addition, match fixing prevention unit of Government Olympics will share their intelligence on all those people, who will found as trying bribe the players participating in Olympic Games. The UK Minister has further added that match fixing has become a huge problem as compared to doping. At present, match fixing has become the major threat in Olympic Games. Huge Robertson commented, “You cannot undervalue this threat because this has the moment, when spectators begin to feel that they are not viewing a true contest and hence everything will end up”.
