British Horseracing Authority, which is the governing as well as regulatory authority for British Racing, has appointed Paul Bittar a-41-year old man as their Chief Executive officer (CEO). In March 2011, after the departure of Nic Coward, Chris Brand was temporarily holding the position and now Bittar has taken the charge from Chris Brand.

From 2012, Paul Bittar will be joining British Horseracing Authority. He is currently working as a Chief Strategy Officer at Racing Victoria and prior to that he worked as a Chief Executive of New Zealand Thoroughbred Racing.

Chairman of the British Horseracing Authority, Paul Roy commented, "Paul Bittar is a racing buff all the way long.He knows well to combine financial skill and dedicated management with sport's love. He understands what the challenges, which British Racing needs to overcome. The selection team went through a detail and thorough search, and then finally agreed in putting him forward for the job."
