Most of the gamblers assume that they do not need to top pay tax on the gambling earnings, however this assumption is absolutely wrong. Recently, Greece has starting to target the gamblers who are not paying taxes on their online winnings. Government has appointed a police force who will solely target online gamblers who are not paying tax.

One online gambler commented, "This is happening since years that players are not paying taxes on gambling winnings. Why now they are so much bothered about this money."

This is a much more serious matter than just the gaming business. The government is taking interest in the winnings of online casinos and wants to ensure that everyone who wins the casino income pays tax, as it is a taxable income. This act is just a part of increasing transparency in the casino games.
