Malaysia is considered as the most dangerous place for internet cafe owner who offer online gambling. This week, Police authorities of Georgetown, capital of Penang Island, have raided 3 "shophouses" who were offering online gambling. They have seizes twenty-eight computers and have arrested 3 people from Noordin Street, Burmah Road and Paya Terubong.

Asst Comm Gan Kong Meng, a George Town police spokesperson reveled that manager of shophouse aged between 50 to 53. This raid took place late at night and continued for 2 hours. He further added, "The shop did not had any signboards and access was possible only with the help of password, which is known only to the regular customers."

ACP Gan said since 2009, police has conducted 286 raids on these illegal gambling centers and have seized 4,135 computers and various gaming devices worth around RM6 million.
