Australians who lose their money whilst gambling online might be allowed to negate their bets, under the novel legislation that is being proposed.
The bill is introduced by one of the most active anti-gambling politician Down Under, the Senator Nick Xenophon, who could be tabled as early as the subsequent month.
Xenophon is trying all he can to fight in opposition to what he terms as illicit online gambling in the Australia and is furious that although the laws that prohibit the operators from permitting Australians to gamble for the money online does exist, none of the operators till now has ever been put on trial.
It is an estimated figure that approximately $1 billion is staked domestically on the gambling sites in a single accounting year.
The proposal of Xenophon will permit the gamblers to cancel any bets they had made if they paid for the gambling entertainment via a credit card.
"With the cancelled credit card bets, I will have to say that there's something tempting to me about the online casinos losing their shirts slightly than the players," said the senator. "It will definitely make the casinos think twice prior of accepting the cards from Australia."
